Hello and welcome, I am Rochelle Oshlack (she/her/they), a therapist and counsellor for couples, families and individuals.
My approach is in relational gestalt psychotherapy, Bowen Family Systems Theory and current evidence-based practices. I include modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT), to work with the symptoms of addiction, anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. I am also trauma informed and equipped to identify and work with PTSD and childhood developmental trauma.
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Youth Mental Health, understanding contemporary approaches to this growing field to optimise young adult functioning. With specialised training in gender affirming practice, cultural and linguistically diverse practice (CALD), together with my lived experience, I am skilled in supporting individuals, couples, and families to navigate issues involving sexuality, gender, relationship and cultural diversity.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am an educator, trainer, clinical supervisor and group facilitator. I am a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), a member of Gestalt Australia and New Zealand (GANZ) and a full member of Australian Professional Association for Trans Health
(AusPATH).
I am dedicated to creating an open and supportive environment to safely explore your experiences, increase your awareness, and work toward meaningful long-term change and optimum functioning.

Inclusive Practice
I recognise the diversity inherent in gender, sexuality, relationships, language and culture. Neurodiversity is recognised, incorporated and respected in my therapeutic approach. I acknowledge there is no one size fits all, quick fix approach to everyone. I recognise my own privilege and remain open to learning from other people’s lived experiences. My practice aims to always be inherently inclusive and collaborative.
